sounds like a loose wiring connection. If you haven't replaced any of the factory speakers, then the most likely place that you have a loose connection is right behind the headunit.
How did you have it installed? because having a loose wiring connection right behind the headunit would be some pretty sloppy work.

But thats the first place i'd start looking if you don't have an amplifier.

if you do have an amplifier, then you may have blown the fuse for it. so that the headunit will come on, but the amp won't.
