<BR><FONT SIZE=2>; make ; make install ... or so).</FONT>

<P><FONT SIZE=2>As my regular user, I started wineserver -p and ran tools/wineinstall. I</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>selected a windows-less install (I don't have win9x libs at hand right now).</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>Wineinstall failed at the registry setup stage:</FONT>

<P><FONT SIZE=2>Warning: L"/usr/src/local/wine-20030508/programs/regedit/regedit.exe.so" not</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>accessible from a configured DOS drive</FONT>
</P>
<P><FONT SIZE=2>I ended creating the registry myself:</FONT>

<P><FONT SIZE=2>regedit ~/.wine/winedefault.reg</FONT>
</P>
<P><FONT SIZE=2>At this point, running winecheck reports:</FONT>
</P>
<P><FONT SIZE=2>26 tests. 2 suspicious, 0 bad, 0 critical, 0 failed.</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>Wine configuration correctness score: 99.00%</FONT>
</P>
<P><FONT SIZE=2>However, trying to run the simplest windows app fails with an error saying:</FONT>

<P><FONT SIZE=2>XIO: fatal IO error 0 (Success) on X server ":0.0"</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2> after 180 requests (178 known processed) with 0 events remaining.</FONT>
</P>
<P><FONT SIZE=2>What am I doing wrong? I am trying to install on redhat9, if that</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>information matters.</FONT>
