Steve,<br><br>Rest assured, it's most likely a video driver issue. He linked you the "source" bug, however, you are not running the source engine.<br><br><ul><li>Half-Life2 and CounterStrike source use the "Source" engine.</li>
<li>Half-Life1 and CounterStrike 1.6 use the modified "quake2" engine, re-branded as "GoldenSource".</li></ul><br>There are known issues with NVIDIA drivers 169.04 - 169.09 (and possibly others) with GoldenSource games.<br>

It is caused by the NVIDIA driver, but only affects this game from what I've found (Quake2, Quake3, native and in wine work flawlessly).<br>
