OK, so I don't know what's going on. (even with tinyproxy/firehol off the following occurs).<div><br></div><div>Unless wine is run by root, when WoW is first loaded and trying to login, WoW creates a Cache folder and a bunch of folders under cache for login purposes. The Cache folder exists in: <wine profile dir>/drive_c/users/Public/Applicatoin data/Blizzard Entertainment/Battle.net. Now it can create up to Cache and Download/TMP under Cache, but all the extra folders don't get created unless being run as root. And if they aren't created, you can't log in.</div>
<div><br></div><div>Also, running Repair.exe says can't fix the folder permssions. However, I have read/write access to all folders.</div><div><br></div><div>drwxr-xr-x 4 macnean macnean 4096 2010-11-14 17:15 .winewowtwo2/</div>
<div><br></div><div>same with where WoW is installed.</div><div><br></div><div>Also, the fresh installer can't connect: fixme:font:CreateScalableFontResourceW (0,L"C:\\users\\Public\\Application Data\\Blizzard Entertainment\\FrizQuadrata.fon",L"C:\\users\\Public\\Application Data\\Blizzard Entertainment\\FrizQuadrata.ttf",(null)): stub</div>
<div><br></div><div>no idea if that has anything to do with it.</div><div><br></div><div>I do have the wldap32 native fix.</div><div><br></div><div>
