Simon, can suggest temporary workaround - the files are probably unzipped to the
temporary directory and removed after the application exits (crashes). You can
try to quickly copy the unpacked files from temporary directory and start
 installer manually.

The 15 days trial copy of application can be downloaded from here:

 | DESCRIPTION |
I am trying to evaluate the stability of Microworlds (a logo-like educational
 tool) by installing
the Microworlds Pro demo executable from the www.microworlds.com website.

The installation proceeds normally for a few seconds, (many files are unzipped
 etc), before
it comes to a halt with no application-level error messages.

My "Windows" environment is as built by wine, and I have no windows native dlls
 installed and
 a fairly bare windows registry.

I have run a bug report produced by bug_report.pl, (which I guess I can attach
to this bug report when I click Commit ?), but I believe that the Wine error
message that appears in the fuller bug report file is more relevant, so I've
 included it here:

 | DESCRIPTION |
When running apps in managed mode (e.g. Word97) and clicking open a menu or
combo-box, it disappears as soon as I move the mouse down into it. To use
menus, I have to click and hold the mouse button while moving down to the menu
item (the good ol' Mac and Amiga Workbench-way). It works perfectly (the
Windows-way), when I run in unmanaged mode, but I really do prefer managed
mode. I'm not sure which component this belongs to.

Ricardo can you try to install from CVS as we can work on the bug better if this

John, is there an application which requires these calls? Having such
application(s) would increase priority of implementing these functions.

Andriy, I wrote some test code that used them, but after finding them unimplemented I switched to using wcstoul.
