This is an experimental branch where I've pulled a real-time patches from Kai
Krakow's proton tree and have incorporated it into both master and stable
branches of WineHQ

The branch is bhuey-rt-master and bhuey-rt-stable
Currently both stable and master run Ableton fine as far as I can tell but
there are issues with wineserver sucking up a full core of CPU time.

Steps to reproduce:
1) remove ~/.wine
2) winetricks dotnet20sp2
3) install AutoCAD
4) wine acad.exe
5) select that you want to activate product and click next
6) enter your registrations data
6) click next (see attached image)
Behaviour:
Nothing happens.
Expected behaviour:
Content of window should change.

The Console log after a crash during the black screen after the opening video.
Fallout 3 Game of the Year Edition will crash in semi-random places when
starting a New game. Some of these places include the black screen right after
the opening video, after inputting the player's name, after customizing the
character, During the Birthday scene when you are shooting the radroach with
your BB Gun, etc. It seams to be a script executing error as the game is
usually supposed to be doing something (ie. controlling the radroach so it
doesn't attack the player, moving an NPC somewhere, setting game values(player
name, how the player looks) when it stops. The Game has two different crashes
for these events, but only one shows at anytime. The first one is obvious and
the rarest a Message box pops up saying the Program encountered an error an
needs to close. A stacktrace is able to be retrieved in this case. The second
one is a freeze, ie the game is no longer controllable by the user, and the
render has stopped. Music and sound effects (such as talking) still work until
the program is killed, but the player cannot make any sound effects such as
walking or shooting a gun. The game's menus are also disabled.
I've followed the hq's guides on getting the program to run, with the small
exception of manually installing the Games for Windows Live client and .Net
Framework. As the game's installer hangs when the installer for those
components have crashed, and thus must be killed to allow the installer to
continue.
It must be noted that a save game made after Vault 101 will work normally. It's
unknown if it's the result of the save being from another computer with the
game running normally or just after Vault 101 because i can't get the game past
Vault 101 when starting a new game.

Fallout 3 crashes for me as soon as I try to leave Vault 101 ( intro level,
indoors ). I'll attach the terminal output and the backtrace. For the record,
I'm running this on a GTX 1070 which has 8GB of VRAM.

So far having this in both Skyrim and Fallout 3 Steam versions, could not test
in Oblivion and Borderlands 1 yet, as they don't work for me yet, and
Borderlands 2 seems to be free of it.
- During gameplay, sometimes the game simply freezes up completely, and the
process needs to be terminated manually.
- Happens roughly about 1-3 times per hour of playing.
- Most often happens when fast traveling or changing zone or from exterior to
interior. Rarely also happens randomly, with seemingly no event to connect it
to.
OS: Arch Linux 64 bit 3.16.3-1
Desktop: KDE 4.14.1
Hardvare:
- Intel Core i3 550 @ 3.20GHz SSE4 (2 cores + Hyper Threading)
- NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GT 1GB
Wine version: 1.7.29-2 multilib from official repositories

Running Fallout 3 GOTY via Steam, wine 2.13, openSUSE Tumbleweed x86_64, Gnome

I was running the game successfully for quite some time, but now it crashes
within 30-40 seconds of resuming the game. I have a large interval during which
I did not test the game so I can't narrow down an update which broke it - it
might be wine, it might be something else.
All I have to do to reproduce the crash is load a save game, and wait. After
some time, the UI will freeze and the last ~500ms of sound will keep replaying.
I've attached the console log, what looks suspicious to me is
err:gstreamer:GST_Connect Returns: -6
err:quartz:PullPin_Thread_Process Processing error: 80040227
both error occur multiple times and finally
err:ntdll:RtlpWaitForCriticalSection section 0x5155a350 "transform.c:
TransformFilter.csFilter" wait timed out in thread 0113, blocked by 008f,

Note that I do have the recommended settings in fallout.ini

which worked fine so far so I don't think that is the issue.
