Dear wine-team,

I had a request from somebody working in agriculture to test an application in wine and used wine 1.9.20 as 1.9.21 is not currently available on openSUSE.

A demo version is available at the following URL: http://www.oask.de/Sauenplaner/piggi20_setup.exe

$ md5sum piggi20_setup.exe bfd61acc354000a14e2974d383e7bd5f piggi20_setup.exe

The application throws a runtime error of 3633 (Laufzeitfehler) and then crashes producing the debugging output shown in the attachment.

Is there anything I can do with winetricks to work aroud this issue?

You might want to run this demo via your terminal and post the terminal output to go with your backtrace :)

Ideally you can try to fix this in your linux distro before trying any winetricks. In Debian the package is called libodbc1, I don't know in other systems.

I found a package called unixODBC for my openSUSE Tumbleweed system and installed both the 32-bit and 64-bit version and tried again with 2.11 (non-staging)

Tried several things as installing mdac28, native dlls etc. For me it comes up with a window that I should change my languagesettings to german, but then exits silently like it did in comment 6.

wine-2.18-170-gde7220e2 nor wine-2.18-1-gf81b06b (Staging) gets it running

--- Comment #18 from [email protected] --- I think the loading of libodbc.so is wrong. That file is used for linking not sure but it is only availble in the unixodbc-dev package.

You can however set the LIB_ODBC_DRIVER_MANAGER to libodbc.so.1 like:

LIB_ODBC_DRIVER_MANAGER="libodbc.so.1" wine <your program>
