If i´m not wrong "Janes F-15" crashed almost exactly the same way when i tried. 
Not exactly a surprise since both games are based on the same engine.
The good news is that there is a demo for the F-15 to work with and you can get 
it here: http://www.3dgamers.com/dlselect/games/f15/f15zip2.exe.html
The bad news however, is that I think this demo only supports glide for 3d 
acceleration.
