With Wine-20050930 on a clean (drive_c) install of Cygwin-1.5.18-1,  I get
similar behavior still.  Now the messages are as follows:

$ wine ./ls.exe

At this point Wine hangs,  and I have to 'kill -9' the 'wine-preloader' process
in order to get my console back.
