Summary: 3DMark 2001 always crashes when attempting to run a
                    second test (regression)
           Product: Wine
           Version: 0.9.11.
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: major
          Priority: P2
         Component: wine-directx-d3d
        AssignedTo: wine-bugs at winehq.org
        ReportedBy: ns03ja at brocku.ca

Under Wine 0.9.11, attempting to run any two tests within a single session of
3DMark 2001 causes a crash. This is not specific to any particular test, but
in fact any two tests run in succession produces the crash.

This is a regression since Wine 0.9.10. Wine 0.9.10 allowed all tests (except
point sprites) to be run in immediate succession without this crash, although
0.9.10 had other problems that were fixed in 0.9.11 (most notably, vertex
shaders).

To reproduce:
- run the default benchmark
- 3DMark crashes in the transition between the first and second test, at the
point where the screen has faded to black, and not yet shown the loading
screen

-or-

- clear all tests
- select any single test, except for point sprites
- run the test
- wait until the test completes
- attempt to run the test again
- 3DMark crashes immediately
Note that even if the test is skipped due to "No hardware support", the crash
is still the same.

-or-

- clear all tests
- select any two tests, except for point sprites
- run the tests
- 3DMark crashes in the transition between the first and second test, at the
point where the screen has faded to black, and not yet shown the loading
screen
Note that in this case, if you choose a Pixel Shader test (such as Nature, or
the (Advanced) Pixel Shader tests and you have Pixel Shaders enabled through
winecfg, 3DMark will complain that it cannot initialize your 3D accelerator,
and thusly will not continue on to the next test. Attempting to run any test
after this still causes the crash as seen above, however.

Tested on the following systems:
Gentoo x86 (Wine 0.9.11 was not installed through portage, but was self
compiled)
1.3 GHz Pentium-M
Radeon Mobility 7500
512M RAM

Gentoo AMD64 (same binaries as above)
Athlon X2 4200+
GeForce 6600 256M
2G RAM
