           Summary: ALEPH500 crashes with X11DRV_DIB_DeleteDIBSection
           Product: Wine
           Version: 0.9.24.
          Platform: PC-x86-64
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: wine-x11driver
        AssignedTo: wine-bugs at winehq.org
        ReportedBy: luigi.messina at unimib.it

Hi,
i'm trying to run ALEPH 500, a library automation software client, under Linux.
This is, unfortunately a proprietary application, sold by ExLibris Group
(http://www.exlibrisgroup.com/aleph.htm).
The client features an installer program, which runs fine under wine and I've
been using to successfully install the software under wine, and about four
executable modules, the simplest one is CIRC.EXE, used for library circulation
activities such as loans, holdings and things like that.
The program starts and correctly displays the login/password window. Then, after
filling it with credentials and pressing OK, it displays the main window title
bar and menu bar, it hangs for some seconds and then crashes badly, with
0x7e5da114 X11DRV_DIB_DeleteDIBSection+0x34 in winex11: movl %eax,0x4(%ecx)

I'm using Ubuntu Edgy Eft 6.10 official release, with kernel 2.6.15-27-686 #1
SMP PREEMPT.
The wine package version i'm using right now is 0.9.24~winehq0~ubuntu~6.10-1
taken from http://wine.budgetdedicated.com/ repository, but I've reproduced
this, crashing always with the same message, also on Dapper Drake, both with
legacy wine packages and developement ones.
I've made many attemps, fiddling with winecfg options and trying with native
windows DLLs like comctl32, comdlg32 and shell32, without any noticeable
difference.
I also noticed the "use virtual desktop" option in winecfg is disabled for me,
maybe this can of help.
