Rob, to my understanding the AsyncSelect() should enqueue a callback. It's 
supposed to enter our OnSend() again when done. The code works under Windows, 
though I havent't tested if a file higher size limit exists.

The code may well be broken, it's from Microsoft. ;-)
(Except for the logging, which was added to pinpoint what's going wrong.)
