I have a similar behavior of starcraft... Maybe It's my fault too, but I can
provide you some logs.

My Setup:

Ubuntu/i386
AMD Athlon XP 2.2/ 1Mb Ram
nVidia FX 5700
Wine Version: Wine 0.9.21

(agrrr I can't understand the attachment system)
