Just chiming in. The one-liner patch does work for me, even in ALSA mode.

I too do not have a mic so I can't test how well voip works, but at least we
have audio now. Huzzah.

The Blizzard QA rep on the forums is aware of the patch, so hopefully this may
fix something on their end too.
