Tested with latest wow 2.2 ptr patch (as of 29/08/07) :
-> works in alsa mode
-> sound output is just OK, no problem
-> support for 2 or more cards looks ok, I got proper lists of cards in WoW
audio settings
-> voice support : recording is broken, it records only the first half-second,
so for example if you say AAAAAAAAA in your mic, you'll get "A" when you
playback the record. This might be some buffer reading/writing issue with
dsound, or something like that I guess.

iirc, I had some trouble running in "Full" support in winecfg (broken sound
output, faster sound, distorted sound), but was okay in Standard mode. This
patch definitely makes wow usable again, so thanks for it :)
