--- Comment #2 from cbsim <cbsim at hotmail.com> 2007-12-13 02:59:08 ---
Scenario:

First I tried converting an MP3 file (or other format) to an AAC format by
running the dBpoweramp Music Converter and then proceed to select the file for
the conversion. After selecting the type of AAC format (HE-AAC), I proceed to
run the conversion.

When the status bar reaches the end after 10 seconds, the program did not show
the finish button, instead the program started to consume all the memory on the
system (my entire 2GB RAM), and after about 30 seconds the program finally show
the finish button and the memory usage by the program gradually reduce.

Upon completion the AAC file is still labeled as a temporary file but it is
playable after renaming it manually. On a normal Windows system the conversion
should had finished around 10 seconds when the status bar reaches the end.
Please ignore the file naming as it is a separate issue, the main issue is the
memory consumption.
