On a sidenote when you were using Mesa, Mesa also offers PBOs and everything
else. I'm quite sure it is a driver bug. The 'linux-x86' run is the proper mesa
binary you should use and as long as the glxinfo output shows Mesa in all the
gl / glx vendor strings and such it is fine.
