Under Wine 0.9.39, the Proxomitron web filter sometimes corrupts large transfers.  The bug is intermittent but highly reproduceable: I've never had a successful transfer of a half-megabyte file.

Steps to reproduce:
1) Install and run the Proxomitron web filter (http://www.proxomitron.info/files/index.html).  Since the systray icon doesn't show up, you can't configure it.
2) Configure a web browser to use the Proxomitron as a proxy server.  Address is "localhost", port is "8080".
3) Load a large file in the web browser.  http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/c/c8/Medstar_Eurocopter_EC135_20070621.jpg works well for this.

My guess from the effect on images is that the occasional byte is being dropped rather than transferred.

This bug does not occur under Wine 0.9.38.
