I've got the same message with painkiller and wine 0.9.45

err:wgl:X11DRV_SetPixelFormat Invalid operation on root_window
err:d3d:CreateContext HDC=0x30c is already set to iPixelFormat=1 and OpenGL
doesn't allow changes!

I don't have it anymore with wine 0.9.47
In the mean time I set VideoMemorySize with regedit.

One of these could solve this issue.
