Attached is a conversation between myself, Ben Byer (bbyer at apple.com, Apple's
XDarwin maintainer and part of the Core OS team there) via the Apple x11-users
mailing list.

Hopefully this is enlightening, as it looks like there is a conflict between
the way Wine expects to find various system libs and how things are set up on
OS X.
