I am getting something similar

trace:keyboard:X11DRV_ToUnicodeEx AltGrMask = 0000
warn:keyboard:X11DRV_ToUnicodeEx Unknown virtual key 6E !!!

BUT only if I switch off your hack from comment #7, if I use your hack then I
get into the game but still do not have any other keys then Up, Down, Enter,
ESC.
