PA will offer a good latency as soon as some kernel patches flow in. If you
need more information, please ask.

I understand your arguments and I think that currently, you are right. 

But then, there should be at least some communication with the PA devs in order
to make it possible to use Wine using the ALSA backend.

The more distros switch to PA (and they currently are doing so), the more users
will complain about "no sound in Wine".
