You could try to do a regression test, since it is not clear what makes DNS
stopping from working. Do a 'git log', and select a commit with a date that is
known to work (For example e8edc51d343baddd8d84798d83c5f30b0ea0911b). Then do a
regression test: Use HEAD as bad, and that commit as good.

If it was working yesterday, you most likely won't need to do the make clean,
which means the bisection testing take a very short time.
