Note:  the command line switch 'blacknull' passed to Conquer.exe allows you to
run the executable directly, else it requires that you run play.exe, which
calls autopatch and then conquer.  The results are the same when run from
play.exe.  See my comments in the AppDB entry too.  Please let me know if
debugging output will help.
