I assume the .exe attachment was rejected because it was larger
than a megabyte.
Can you try compressing it with bzip2 and check the size?
If that's larger than a megabyte, try compressing instead with rzip
(http://rzip.samba.org) and check the size again.
Once you get it under a megabyte, try attaching it again.
