I would also suggest you try these things, because it could be not wine, but if
you want to save time:
* An older version of wine you know that last worked
* Check the battle.net status page
* Try different realms
* Check your network settings/connection
* Try blizzard forums/support and ask what the problem could be.

It does not make sense that this would regress where it would just "hang" but
the regression test will identify if wine is truly at fault.
