Okay, I did a fresh install of wine 0.9.58 and Endnote X1.

Still the same crash:

When selecting text in a text field (by holding down the left mouse key) and
moving the mouse cursor (with button pressed) out of the field (left, right, up
or down) the cursor freezes and after half a second the Endnote window is
closed.

The error message is "run.c:193: ME_RunOfsFromCharOfs: Assertion `nCharOfs >=
nParaOfs' failed." (see crash log comment 7...).
