Confirming on my own computer. I am using Compiz/Emerald but GTA SA has worked
quite a few times before. With me, first of all, the game crashed after I left
the safe house where I saved the game. Then, the game crashed when I loaded my
save game. Now, the game will not load at all.

Trying this on the command line shows the same problem as the reporter of this
bug.

I have done a crash log above and I hope this is appropriate.
