I use it with Office 2003, primarily Word 2003. It works perfectly in
Windows--once the converter is installed, Word 2003 can open and save docx
files, Powerpoint 2003 can open and save pptx files, and Excel 2003 can open
and save xlsx files.

I hadn't tested Excel or Powerpoint in wine before, but I just did, and both
ended with an error message about being unable to open the file. Powerpoint's
error message specifically complained "No text converter is installed for this
file type". So even though the installer says the converter is installed, Word,
Excel, and Powerpoint for some reason can't use it.

This problem may be part of a general problem with plugins in Word 2003. The
AppDB has one report that specifically mentions plugins not working, and there
is an open bug (5264) about the equation editor not working.
