Is there any update in regards to this bug? 

Note for those trying to play in windowed mode you can press ESC at the login
menu, select any option (colour depth is the easiest), and change it to any
other option, then click apply.  This restores the window to its correct
positions.  

Doing this each time the client is spawned is very annoying however.
