Seems to be related to the graphics card - see bugs #14395 and bug #10594.
Sorry for not searching harder.

However, EVE Classic locks up as well, with this error
err:ntdll:RtlpWaitForCriticalSection section 0x12e0e4b0 "?" wait timed out in
thread 0020, blocked by 0000, retrying (60 sec)
err:ntdll:RtlpWaitForCriticalSection section 0x166e5b0 "?" wait timed out in
thread 0018, blocked by 0020, retrying (60 sec)

That was with wine-1.0.0 - I'm trying the current git version of wine to see if
it's been fixed.
