Two different Nvidia cards. One is a GeForce FX 5900XT; the other I don't know
(have no physical access to the other pc at the moment).

The FX 5900XT uses the nvidia binary drivers version 173.14.09 on a Gentoo
system.
The other also the nvidia binary drivers on a current Ubuntu 8.04.

Both without compiz or anything similar.
