The 4 gamepads I have where actually purchased specifically for Atomic
Bomberman (the more players you can get into it at one time the better).  My
college roommate also purchased 4 identical gamepads, to get 8 players in via a
network game between our two machines.  Have spent many hours playing that
game. 

So....  Quite sure it worked with 4 game pads in Windows.

My old college roommate still has a Windows box he has dedicated to Bomberman
(MS EOLed the game pads, and there isn't a driver for them on newer versions of
Windows)  So, I might be able to get him do do some debugging under Windows if
that would help.  (Would need to know what you would need of course)
