Good news! I tested with wine 1.1.3 and the JSmooth window comes up without
corrupting my whole desktop!

Now the only remaining bug is that JSmooth just exits if the default windows
version is not set to Windows 2000. But this has nothing to do with the initial
bug report. Should I open a new bug report or do you want to track the progress
here?
