It built fine for me under gentoo x86_64 with the same patch applied as I have
used since wine-1.1.2. This is the same patch that is from the link. Any gentoo
user can download an ebuild from

http://github.com/drescherjm/jmdgentoooverlay/tree/master/app-emulation/wine

or use the wiki link

http://github.com/drescherjm/jmdgentoooverlay/wikis

to add this to layman so that you can get the updated builds when new versions
come out.
