Hi, i tried the demo but instead of a crash i get a "hang". Couldn't really
figure out why :(
However appdb has some interesting info: I changed the file
~/.wine/drive_c/windows/profiles/louis/My\ Documents/My\ Games/Sid\ Meier\'s\
Railroads\ Demo/Settings.ini

and set 

SkipOpeningMovies = 1
VBlankSynch = 0 

With that the hang was gone, and the game started for me. Maybe you could give
that a try too.
