If the work arounds don't work, then just install it on a complete new ~/.wine,
and run the app like:

WINEDEBUG=+relay,+seh,+tid wine "C:\3dsmax7\3dsmax.exe" &>/tmp/log

and attached the bzipped2 file /tmp/log to this file
