The log has changed somewhat, so I sent the patch in.  This last bit of the new
log is suspicious:

The first line shows that the web browser implementation doesn't support the
IOleInPlace interface.  I'm not sure whether native does or doesn't.  The rest
of the lines indicate some heap corruption.
