could somebody please explain in more simple terms, how i can use this patch?


this is what i get if i run it in terminal 

~$ sudo '/media/hda2/nefile' 
diff: unrecognized option `--git'
diff: Try `diff --help' for more information.
/media/hda2/nefile: 2: index: not found
/media/hda2/nefile: 3: ---: not found
/media/hda2/nefile: 4: +++: not found
/media/hda2/nefile: 5: Syntax error: "(" unexpected
