Git from about a month ago didn't work with -O2, but was fine with -O0.
Unfortunately I don't remember exactly what version that was. Wine 1.1.1 seems
fine either way, though.

Setting UseXIM to Y or N as suggested in bug 13143 didn't seem to have any
effect.
