Please try this with normal WM (such ask Gnome/KDE). If everything works, then
please file bug with whomever makes ratpoison. Wine requires lots of features
and FreeDesktop standards complaint window manager.

According to FreeDesktop (
http://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/Specifications/wm-spec ) that WM is not listed
at all. So it's not compatible with Wine.
