I modified the installation by adding riched20 via winetricks and then modified
the winecfg for Logbook Pro so that oleaut20 would run in native mode for this
application. While I was making these changes Ubuntu Update Manager pulled down
a Wine update. I don't know if it was my changes or the Wine changes but the
application now opens in less than 5 seconds. It appears this is resolved.
