try on a complete fresh and new ~/.wine:

wget http://kegel.com/wine/winetricks && sh winetricks corefonts dotnet20

(That's the preferred way to install .NET 2.0)

Then install Nikon Capture again. For me it starts up fine into the
registratopn window, but it says the trial has 0 days left, and the "Continue
Trial" button is deactivated. that's where it ends for me, but if you have a
registration code i guess you could try more
