Er, crap. I don't know why I missed this before..

The app tries to call secur32 to load the schannel provider, which currently
isn't implemented in Wine. Changing bug summary and component to reflect this.

There might be a workaround for using schannel.dll from Windows, I'm currently
waiting for the author to post an updated version of that patch.
