Update: I could not install the shareware version of PSP7 on my laptop, the
installer kept crashing (a different bug).

The only thing I can think of is the shareware is PSP 7.00, while my full
version when I ran the installer was 7.02 and I then ran the upgrade to 7.04.

I am not sure, but maybe the 7.00 installer does not work in Wine and the 7.02
installer does?
