I think not. I checked the quartz log again, I see no AddFilter calls preceding
the RenderFile call. It seems to be pretty much filtergraph creation stuff and
RenderFile right after, and as far as I can tell it crashes within this
RenderFile. I'll attach a log.

The game does manually add a renderer if all goes well, but normally that
happens after this first RenderFile successfully returns.
