What I'm most interested in is if there are any developers looking into this
thread or our investigations are in vain. Are there any developers reading
this?

Also...

I thought I had resolved this issue for myself when I removed all addons and
settings (/Interface/ and /WTF/). I didn't try to play that much with the
native UI but added the addons as I found I needed them. Now I'm back to square
one with multiple (10+) lockups in a row - worse than before.

$ uname -rom
2.6.22-14-generic x86_64 GNU/Linux

$ wine --version
wine-0.9.55

$ nvidia-settings
OS: Linux-x86_64
Version: 100.14.19
