Thanks for the information.  I've gone through WineDBG and I'm not all that
sure that this is going to help.  There is no program faults shown, no windows
crash error at all.  The program is simply closed when the message is sent. 
This would normally be a failure of a another program and Windows closes the
program to do the system recover.
