The game didn't go into full screen correctly for me on my ati card. It took up
the bottom left corner of my screen and everything else was garbled. I didn't
have mouse input.

After I configured wine to use a virtual desktop, it started correctly in a
window. However, when I tried to play the game, the graphics were messed up - I
get a weird glow. On exit, where I play the game or not, I get:

X Error of failed request:  BadValue (integer parameter out of range for
operation)
  Major opcode of failed request:  144 (ATIFGLRXDRI)
  Minor opcode of failed request:  1 ()
  Value in failed request:  0x0
  Serial number of failed request:  84499
  Current serial number in output stream:  84499
