I started with a clean ~/.wine directory. Then I installed gecko and real
player. Real Player's installer started up the app and and crashed. However,
when I started the app a second time. It works just fine:

mv ~/.wine ~/.wine_old
wineprefixcreate -w
wine iexplore
wine RealOnePlayerV2GOLD.exe

... crashes

cd "~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/Real/RealOne Player"
wine realplay.exe

It's not running perfectly, but it doesn't crash either.
